Mxolisi Valashia - Exams Officer

Mxolisi Valashia graduated from the University of Botswana with a bachelors of science (BSc) in biology, with minor study in chemistry, before gaining a postgraduate diploma in education from the same university. He has 13 years of education experience.

Prior to joining RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou, he worked as an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma programme coordinator, leading the school where he worked through a five-year review. Before this, he was head of science at the same school. He has taught high school biology, science and environmental science in Botswana, the USA, the UK and China. In the Middle East, he was involved with education reform in Qatar and The United Arab Emirates, where he trained high school teachers on modern teaching methodologies.

Mxolisi believes the primary role of a teacher is to provide a suitable learning environment so that each child can develop to their full potential, irrespective of their learning styles.
