Amy Zheng - Head of Grade 11

Amy Zheng graduated from Fudan University in 2010 with a PhD in Organic Chemistry. After graduation, as a founding teacher, she worked in one of the first international schools in Zhejiang for 8 years, teaching A-Level chemistry and serving as the chemistry and science team leader. She was one of the first teachers in Zhejiang to be involved in and deeply involved in A-Level teaching. Up to now, a number of her students have applied for admission to a number of university chemistry programmes, including chemistry at prestigious overseas universities.

At the beginning of the school’s founding in 2018, she joined the RDFZ King’s College School Hangzhou (now Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science), where she continues to work on exploring and developing pedagogical approaches to the international curriculum that are more suitable for Chinese students. In the meantime, she has been supporting students’ learning and development as an Academy and Class Tutor for the past four years, and has been the Year 11 Leader since 2022, where she has been able to communicate with students and parents to learn more about their concerns and expectations and further support the development of the students and the school.
