Our school held a Three-Year Development Plan Discussion Seminar

In order to implement the spirit of the document “Notice on the Requirement of Formulating the Three-year Development Plan for Private Schools from 2024 to 2026” of Yuhang District Education Bureau, our school requested volunteers from all the staff and set up a task force for the compilation of the three-year development plan of the school on the basis of merit, and held the first meeting of the start-up of the compilation work of the plan and the training in the afternoon of November 8, which was presided over by the General Principal Lin Weimin. Mr. Lin Weimin presided over the meeting, and Vice Principal Celia Zhang and all the members of the task force attended the meeting.

Principal Lin Weimin introduced the basic framework of the school’s three-year plan, including the background and foundation analysis of the school’s development, the school’s development idea, the school’s general development goal, the school’s annual developmental goal implementation plan, etc. He analyzed the advantages and challenges of our school’s internationalized characteristics, and clarified the school’s development goals in the next three years in terms of strengthening the moral character of the people, perfecting the curriculum, innovating the mode of child-rearing, promoting the growth of teachers, fostering the campus culture, and perfecting the safeguards, establishing the brand of the school, and improving the quality of the school.

Principal Lin Weimin emphasized that each school division should take the initiative to solicit opinions and suggestions from responsible supervisors, parents and staff to formulate a good three-year development plan and annual implementation plan for the school based on self-diagnosis, and each department and teacher should also formulate the corresponding departmental and personal development plan and annual action plan. Participants in the meeting centered on the content of the school’s three-year development plan as well as the anchoring of the objectives, launched a lively discussion on the key elements of the compilation of the planning program, put forward constructive comments.

Finally, Principal Lin Weimin concluded that the valuable opinions on the compilation of the three-year development plan put forward by the members of the task force would be seriously absorbed and adopted by the Executive Committee of the school. The development of the development plan is not only a blueprint for the future development of the school, but also a new consideration for the future career development of the team of teachers and staff involved in the compilation of the plan. Lin Weimin concluded, “The greatest benefit for teachers working in schools is the enhancement and development of their professional abilities. The principal’s main responsibility is to promote the growth of teachers, and this planning and compilation work is a good opportunity for teachers to gain growth, which everyone must cherish.”

Through this training session, the teachers became clearer about the direction and goals of the school’s future development, and their enthusiasm for work was further boosted. Next, our school will push forward the development of the three-year development plan according to the plan, and complete the first draft of the plan on December 5th. Experts will be invited to visit our school to help revise and improve the plan, which will then be submitted to the Board of Education for discussion. It is believed that the development and compilation of this plan will further unite the strength of all teachers, students, parents and the community, and work hand in hand to continue to work hard to make our school a first-class internationalized school with special characteristics.
