On the afternoon of November 7, William Connor, Director of Organizational Development at Hughes College, Cambridge University and former Fellow of Wolvershampton College, Oxford University accompanied by Benson Zhang, President of Dipont Education Group and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, and Jeff Zhu, Vice-President of Dipont Education Group and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science, came to visit our school.
Ms. Kimberly Pallot, Head of Specialist Subjects led Mr. Williams on a tour of the art classrooms, drama classrooms, and music classrooms at the school, where Ms. Williams spoke highly of the school’s modern, state-of-the-art facilities and appreciated the school’s accomplishments in the field of art education. During the visit, Ms. Pallot introduced the school’s art curriculum plan and student development pathway to Mr. William, which was well received by him.
After the campus visit, the school organized a seminar focused on the future trajectory of art education. The event was graced by the presence of General Principal Lin Weimin, Executive Principal Stephen Keown, and the school’s team of foreign experts specializing in art education. The seminar covered a wide range of topics, including art education concepts, methods, curriculum planning, implementation strategies, and the establishment of a special channel for enrollment of art majors with world-renowned universities, such as the University of Cambridge, etc. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on these issues. Mr. William paid special attention to the school’s experience of successfully sending art students to the world’s top art schools every year and encouraged the school to continue to. He further urged the school to persist in its endeavors in this domain, expressing optimism for continuous improvement. He envisioned the school advancing its standards, offering students a more expansive realm for growth, and attaining even greater accomplishments in the realm of art education.
