Radio Station | Illuminating Students’ Minds and Voices

Wednesday 31 Jan 2024

As the semester passed in the vibrant campus, the students gained their growth and insights. The students who have participated in the Radio Station CCA have used their voices to convey their love and anticipation for the world.

Over the course of the semester, students have learned a wealth of lessons in the radio station program, including literary criticism, news commentary, language expression, and anchor training, and they have learned how to express their emotions through their voices and how to infuse their passions into their words. In Radio Station CCA, students have continued to explore and practice, which has led to a great improvement in their ability to express themselves.

Members of the radio station course

Eighth-grader Chen Mingze was deeply impressed by this semester’s activities, which was his first time joining the radio station. Here, he gained the opportunity to improve his writing, he developed the experience of sharing in front of the whole school, and he accomplished himself, enriching his resume in the process of learning. He treasures the results of this semester’s efforts.

Eighth-grader Hu Yiqi focuses on the task of news commentary at the Pine Breeze Swallow Radio Station. To write a news commentary, you need to find out information about the news, describe the content of the news, and then you can start to elaborate your own opinion. When describing the news event, you need to uphold an objective and fair attitude, and the news commentary also needs to be as objective as possible, so you need to find multiple perspectives and multiple positions to support the point of view to ensure the objectivity of the viewpoint. After this semester’s study, she has mastered how to “balance reporting”.

Mr. He Ruijie from Grade 7 shared with us his feelings about being a broadcaster for the first time: he was very nervous before broadcasting and his voice was a bit shaky and weak, but with the encouragement of his teachers and classmates, he became more and more confident and his voice slowly became louder, stronger, and more staccato. Finally, he would like to thank the teachers of the radio station for their hard work and the students for their dedication. He expressed his love for the radio station and hoped that next time he could bring you a wonderful radio program.

As teachers, we are overwhelmed to see the growth and progress of the students in the radio station program. We are confident that they will use their unique voices to brighten up the world in their future studies and lives.

The radio station program is a special program in our school, and we look forward to more students joining in and telling their own stories with their own voices. Let’s look forward to their more exciting performances and hosting, and expect them to light up more dreams with their voices.
