We are delighted to share a recap of our recent field trip to Booming Tech Studio Gaming Studios, a prominent player in the Chinese gaming industry.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the Booming Tech team, accompanied by Lucky, the CEO’s lovable Labrador. The reception included an introduction to our working space for the day, where we discovered thoughtful gift packages and enjoyed some bubble tea.

Next up, we were given the grand tour of Booming Tech Studios. Highlights included exploring the motion capture studio, and a glimpse into the audio design department. We were also given a wonderful opportunity to interact with game programmers and their design props on the development floor.

Booming Tech’s representatives delivered a thought-provoking session themed around “We are what we create.” This discussion provided a deeper understanding of the intricate processes involved in game development and the company’s overarching philosophy and aspirations for future projects. It was very exciting to hear about their future projects and what Booming Tech Gaming Studios wishes to accomplish in the Chinese Gaming industry.

Our visit also featured a presentation by Mr Kairui Wu, Booming Tech’s Character Concept Artist, showcasing Tang Dynasty-themed armour sets. Mr Wu assigned a design challenge to our students, inviting them to interpret Tang Dynasty armour in their unique creative expressions.

Students were encouraged to partake in this design challenge by submitting their interpretations. Students were then asked to share their ideas behind their creations and reflect upon their design choices.

Such experiences play a pivotal role in enhancing our students’ understanding of the dynamic world of gaming and possible career paths in the future.
