Lisa has an extensive teaching experience of over 15 years in primary education. She holds a Bachelor of Education Professional Degree and Honors Bachelor of Education Degree in School Management from the University of South Africa. Additionally, she has obtained her Masters in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Zambia.

Lisa is deeply passionate about immersing herself in the primary classroom environment. Her belief in following the child and creating an independent learning atmosphere drives her dedication to her profession. Before teaching in China, she had been actively teaching in her home country, South Africa.

As a primary teacher and currently serving as the Head of Key Stage 1 & 2, Lisa is fully committed to ensuring student success both within the classroom and beyond. She firmly believes that meaningful relationships and engaging classroom experiences are vital for fostering this success. With her experience teaching in various settings, Lisa advocates for creative and interactive lessons that cater to each student’s unique needs. Her child-centered approach and nurturing classroom environment promote both enjoyment and growth among her students.

Lisa whole-heartedly embraces the values of the school community, emphasizing every child’s uniqueness and potential for achievement. She endeavors to cultivate a creative curriculum Sby employing diverse methodologies and strongly supports collaborative learning that involves students, staff, families, as well as the Hangzhou Dipont School of Arts and Science Hangzhou community.

Outside of teaching, Lisa finds joy in spending quality time with her husband. They enjoy cooking together, traveling, and watching sports. Lisa feels blessed with two daughters named Kerry and Sarah.
