Emmanuel N Barthalomew - Head of School Improvement

Over the past 15 years, Emmanuel has worked with a diverse range of students, from nursery pupils to university students, which has equipped him with a profound understanding of the unique needs and challenges at each stage of development. He is also a Fellow at The Chartered College of Teaching and a PhD (Education) Candidate at University College London. In addition to his professional qualifications, Emmanuel holds degrees (BA Hons, MA, and MPhil) in English Language and Literature, ESOL, and Applied Educational Leadership and Management. He has been also awarded the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) from UCL and is currently completing a National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL) with the same institution.

Emmanuel served as the Academic Principal at Ulink College of Shanghai from 2019 to 2023 where he held comprehensive responsibilities in acdemic management, focusing on improving teaching and learning across the school. During his tennure, he successfully established a nurturing and rigorous teaching culture, resulting in exemplary student outcomes.

Emmanuel believes every student and staff member has unique strengths and abilities. It is his role to help unlock their full potential.
